Irina Beletskaya has graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MEI), the department of automation and computer engineering, and attends additional courses from the Moscow institute of economics, politics, and law. She was first introduced to socionics in 2002. By the end of 2004 and in 2005 she studied socionics in a group led by Liubov Beskova. In 2006 she published her first articles on socionics.
