Talk:Benchmark type list (2007)

From Wikisocion

Rick, I have edited my surname out -- it's not a big secret but I prefer to avoid it being so obviously available to everyone. Not sure that Nicky wants to have her surname posted, either. Expat 03:08, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

OK, I have replaced last names with one letter except for DeLong and Ganin. (Admin 03:41, 12 June 2007 (CDT))

Expat, what did you want to change back? I had messed up the list format and had to fix it and saw that you had reverted to an earlier version of the page. (Admin 08:03, 12 June 2007 (CDT))

I have no idea -- I don't know what I did, if I did it. I wouldn't know how to revert it now if I wanted it to. If I did it by mistake, how do I avoid doing it? Expat 08:09, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
Whatever. I'm just looking at this line from the "history" tab of the article page and wondering what happened (it's fixed now):
(cur) (last) 12:53, 12 June 2007 Admin (Talk | contribs | block) m (Reverted edits by Admin (Talk); changed back to last version by Expat)

If anyone feels like creating a neat chart like this, go for it. (Admin 11:19, 13 June 2007 (CDT))

Just currious if I was a 100% agreement person or if there were dissenters :)Bionicgoat 14:49, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

ehh.. my clipboard is acting wacky and I can't copy/paste text... ^^^ that should be down there \/Bionicgoat 14:51, 25 June 2007 (CDT)
Follow the link to the chart on Socionics.us this. It has convergence info in the chart. (Admin 14:54, 25 June 2007 (CDT))
ahah sorry I didn't see that for some reason :) Bionicgoat 14:57, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

alternate typings

"Alternate typings by participants will be provided here eventually."

What exactly does that mean? Niffweed17 16:46, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

See http://www.socionics.us/celebrities/benchmark.shtml. For example, there was 75% agreement on FDG, with an alternate version of SEE. (Admin 22:06, 12 June 2007 (CDT))
Done. Please do not edit the name links; I'll fix the article titles soon. Thehotelambush 02:03, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Herzy

Since Herzy was added to the list, all of the convergences have been retabulated. However, there are still only three recorded discrepancies between the established types and the types listed (I have one and Expat has two) despite the fact that Herzy is listed as 75% convergence at SLE. How is this possible? Niffweed17 00:12, 24 July 2007 (BST)

Are you referring to my list at [1] ? I think I must have just copied the FDG line. I'll change that. --Admin 03:43, 24 July 2007 (BST)
Ah, ok. As far as I was aware that was the only place that included the alternate versions. Niffweed17 03:50, 24 July 2007 (BST)
It would be nice to include all that info from my chart here, but it looks hard to do. --Admin 09:39, 24 July 2007 (BST)
Just to be clear, Pedro was the one added, not Herzy. I'll make a nice table like that sometime soon. Thehotelambush 00:25, 25 July 2007 (BST)
Even if so, Herzy was either not on the prior list on Rick's site or was not labeled at 75% convergence. Niffweed17 00:52, 25 July 2007 (BST)
I had somehow missed Herzy when I was copying over information for my chart. --Admin 07:39, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Niffweed, why did you change the stats for Herzy? 3 is correct. Rick probably copied that over from FDG's row too. I still have all the original data. Thehotelambush 08:46, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Arnold Schwarzenegger

He has been called "Austrian", yet he has been an American citizen for over 20 years. Expat 08:32, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Why list nationalities at all? Thehotelambush 09:17, 26 July 2007 (BST)
who really cares. it really doesn't matter. hotelambush is right in that there's no real reason to have the nationalities there in the first place; i just did that because thats the way rick has them. if you don't think the nationalities and/or the austrian are appropriate, change it. Niffweed17 09:19, 26 July 2007 (BST)
You're both totally right, of course. I shouldn't have made an issue of it. Just being grumpy I guess. Expat 09:25, 26 July 2007 (BST)
Do you think he would prefer to be called a politician/actor? Thehotelambush 09:39, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Physicists

We have ILI physicists and ILE physicists, but no LII physicists. What's wrong with you people?!?

Actually, the only famous one I can think of is Paul Dirac. Thehotelambush 09:42, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Max Born? Werner Heisenberg? Expat 09:47, 26 July 2007 (BST)
Ah, Robert Oppenheimer. Expat 09:50, 26 July 2007 (BST)
I'll check those out - Paul Dirac is the only one I've researched thoroughly. I've also heard Sakharov (not really famous) and the Curies (both?). Technically Descartes was a physicist, he wrote a lot about optics. Btw, Nobel Prize speeches are excellent source material for typing. Thehotelambush 10:06, 26 July 2007 (BST)
